The research highlighted a critical gap in the art community—a lack of a centralized space for interactive and meaningful discussions about exhibitions, artists, and contemporary trends. While existing platforms provide updates and information, they often fail to create an engaging environment where art enthusiasts and professionals can come together to share ideas, exchange insights, and build connections. This absence of a dedicated discussion forum limits opportunities for collaboration, stifles creative dialogue, and reduces the ability of users to form a deeper understanding of and connection to the art world. Bridging this gap would not only enrich the user experience but also transform how individuals interact with and contribute to the evolving art community.
Art-focused conversations often attract thoughtful, high-quality opinions, enriching the overall discourse within the community. To support this, the comment button is designed as the primary interaction point, standing out visually and featuring a smooth animation. Tapping the button triggers a dynamic transition, revealing a text box for users to share their insights seamlessly. The UI maintains a consistent flow, prioritizing simplicity and engagement, while also offering the option for voice posts, adding a layer of personal expression to discussions. This design approach fosters an intuitive and enriching user experience tailored for meaningful art conversations.
The dynamic banner, prominently displayed on the home screen, serves as a real-time information hub, notifying users about recent events, exhibitions, and updates in the art world. Its motion captures attention and provides an easy way to access relevant content, helping users stay up-to-date and connected to the latest happenings.
The ticket booking flow uses a bold green slider as a clear visual indicator that users are in the ticketing process. The overlay design allows the artwork to remain visible in the background, ensuring users are confident about booking for the correct museum or exhibition. This approach combines clarity and context, making the process intuitive while maintaining a connection to the artwork
Tickets are available directly in the app, eliminating the hassle of searching through emails and ensuring smooth entry into museums and art galleries. The design is visually appealing, featuring a clock to display your visit time and the venue’s address. This approach ensures users have all the necessary details at a glance, combining functionality with a visually engaging layout.
The idea behind the logo comes from the asterisk symbol, often used to signify something omitted or open to interpretation. This felt fitting for art, as it is subjective and allows everyone to find their own meaning. Using the asterisk as the core element, I designed a modern and clean logo that represents the platform’s focus on individuality, interpretation, and the diverse perspectives in art.
If I had more time, I would focus on conducting comprehensive user testing to gain insights into how users interact with the app. This feedback would allow me to identify pain points, usability issues, and areas for enhancement. Based on these findings, I would make revisions to refine the design and functionality, ensuring the app aligns more closely with user expectations and needs. Additionally, I would explore incorporating new features and iterating on existing components to further improve the overall user experience and engagement.
